On Line Shopping Galore

Life is too short so enjoy and go shopping galore! Wehehe

Seems like this is exactly what I am doing. But not the usual mall hopping or boutique hopping every weekend. This is easier --a looot easier-- since all you have to do is surf surf and surf. Yep I am addicted to on line shopping. I have been wanting to do so but the first attempt was unsuccessful.. I was ready to buy an Über cutesy party top from an entrepreneur and was about to pay for the item but then I have no Gcash and was too lazy to reload it in my mobile wallet so I opted to go to the nearest bank in our area and deposit the money to her bank account, but alas! the freakin' bank is offline and I was Über lazy to go to a not-so near bank...and there went my first attempt on online shopping.

Then after a few months, my colleague is establishing her own online shopping site and asked me if I wanted to order flip flops (sample items) of course free International shipping. Ahehe

Also, I chanced the site of Chynna O. and saw some (well..oh okay..most) of the items are really fab and cutie. So I got hooked and so most of the time that I am online I surf and surf and surf for items that caught my eyes.

PS: It is not advisable to order shoes online specially if the size of your feet varies (meaning sometimes it 5 1/5 and sometimes it's 6 -mine- aheheh). Also you cannot touch to feel the material it is made of (blisters are ouchy, not to mention not a very likable sight). But it's good if they have a return policy -though I'm afraid not many of them have. =(

But nonetheless, it is really an enjoyable pastime but sometimes I go crazy over the items that I often have a battle with my logical and practical side of the brain plus a tug of war with my wallet. ahehehe.

PPS: Try it though, it is very convenient, efficient plus time and energy-saving as well.

PPS: Multiply is a haven of many young and creative entrepreneurs.

You Asked Me if I Love You

I just so love this song.. The lyrics really HIT hard! (toinks)

Here goes:

You ask me if I love you And i choke on my
reply
I'd rather hurt you honestly than mislead you
with a lie
And who am I to judge you On what you say or
do?
I'm only just beginning to see real you

CHORUS: And sometimes when we touch
The honesty's too much
And I have to close my eyes and hide
I wanna hold you 'til I die
'Til we both break down and cry
I wanna hold you 'til the fear in me subsides

Romance and all its strategy Leaves me battling
with my pride
But, through the insecurity Some tenderness
survives
I'm just another writer Still trapped within my truth
A hesitant prize fighter Sill trapped within my
youth (Chorus)

At times, I'd like to break you And drive you to
your knees
At times, I'd like to break through And hold you
endlessly

At times, I understand you And I know how hard
you've tried
I've watched while love commands you And I've
watched love pass by
At times, I think we're drifters Still searching for a
friend
A brother or a sister But then the passion flares
again.. (Chorus)

PS: See so touching!!

Nostalgia

I've been browsing my Friendster Blog (to re-read the entries I've typed in and also because I am feeling kinda senti!) when I chanced upon this entry last December '06.. I still feel this way even if it's more than a year since graduating from college.

Read on..
WARNING: Not for the faint hearted-- too serious to handle!!

Gosh, i can't believe i'm working now... it's like only yesterday that we are loitering around PLM's campus and discussing our projects or creating a plot or even 'squeezing ourselves like a lemon' just so we could produce an answer to the brain-draining and nose-bleeding crisis of pr.. hehehe..

but now, i'm here in an airconditioned room, in front of a computer and should be sending emails to customers, but is actually typing this article for a personal blog. teehee ^_^

i miss all the times wherein we would just sit under one shed or on the grass and looking (and scrutinizing) everything and everyone we see.. sharing stories, giggling and just having fun... as if nothing's the matter.. and we're not beating every subject's deadlines!!

it's just now that it's sinking into my system that college life's over.. the virtual reality had passed, i'm now playing in the real game called -- LIFE!

now i'm telling myself, in college when we fail an exam or recitation, we can always make it up next time. but in this reality game, we can never have the same exact scenario, there'll be no next time-- we can only have experiences gained and lessons learned..

but no matter what, i know i have my family and friends to help me hurdle the obstacles that'll come my way, who'll slow me down when i'm running too fast and who'll pick me up when i stumble..

"may ganung factor??.. nagdadrama!!"

This entry transcends me through time! I know, we (my closest college friends) make it a point to
meet every weekends or at least twice a month.. but still it's very different from what it used to
be way back in college -where we have everyday of our college life to talk, laugh at goof around- today, we don't have the luxury of time to do that anymore (and i guess, there never will be) that is why aside from Friday night gimiks we also plan (a very looooong planning indeed- which entails, synchronizing scheds, scheduling office leaves and other what tos?!) a long weekend trip to a place away from the rat-race in Makati (Lheng & I) or Manila (Pau & Hapi), in hope that we can find solace and seek comfort from each other -while ranting our frustrations and sharing our goals and being excited and glad on each other's achievements and accomplishments.

Gosh, I am just so freakin' melodramatic.. I think I can write a tear-jerking script- but then again maybe not!

PS: I just came from our weekend getaway at Hapi's place in Antipolo. We actually have the gal to swim and defy typhoon Egay's wrath.

*No Egay! you can't stop us! Rain or shine if our mind is set in doing it.. do it we will! haha... -yeah, we're that stubborn.. or atleast I think, we are ;)

It's fun and we've got tons and tons of photos.. ÜÜÜ

Hows your day going? Are you missing someone dear too?

hugs n kisses

Ballad version of Umbrella

This ballad rendition of Rihanna's Umbrella ella ella (sorry cant resist it! ehehe) was done by Mandy Moore.

Initially my reaction was.. NO WAY! a slow and soulful version of the upbeat and remix Umbrella?! For sure it'll be funny and it will just ruin the song. True to my initial reaction, after hearing Mandy's rendition, it really sounded funny and queer. But after hearing it for the second time, I decided that it is worth listening to. Mandy Moore's voice wasnt at all powerful and great but it gave justice to the song. I kinda like this slow and soulful rendition of Umbrella.

If I feel like dancing I will just have to play Rihanna's Umbrella to groove into the beat, but if I wanna enjoy the song in a more relaxing way and also to reflect on the message of the song then I will just have to scroll to Mandy's ballad. I have actually added the song to my playlist! hehe..

PS: I also happen to learn that there's a ballad version of BEP's My Humps rendered by Alanis Morisette. Wahahah it's not worth a pence! Alanis' angst-ridden voice plus the song's playful message equals creepy! ahahah it really makes me laugh HARD!! Alanis probably meant it as a joke.. but still it gave me a fright, I didn't even want to give her version a second hearing.

Fun-filled Day

We always make it a point to dine out every Friday of the week, just to personally fill in on each other's life -work and love (or the lack of it) or allot an entire day for each other. It's not just tetê-a-tetê that we do.. We just loove to eat, and eat we do! We're just soo damn lucky it doesn't show!

be green with envy .. LOL

The rundown: Had luch at our fave (at least mine) pizza parlour, Carlo's Pizza- where I soo love the non-greasy-melt-in-your-mouth pizza; then talked and throw jokes on each other; then watched Ratatoullie while   rolling our eyes over the uncivilized being who can't help but repeat to his companion what is being shown on the big screen! Duh?! I wonder if he woorks for a radio station (probably a dubber - ay nagluluto yung daga, hahaha nabunggo yung bike) hallaer! it's like we can see it naman?! Some people are just so whatevah!!

Then, had a guilty pleasure dessert at Chocolat. I had the sinfully delicious Bailey's Cake

AHA Hapi! Sira ang South Beach diet! ahehe Lagot kami kay Abba!

Hapi: Guilty!

PS: I loove the animation and the story even if it's just so gross seing a cooking-rat-infested-four star-restaurant.

Ratata,

Witnessing a DocuFest ala iWitness

This day I was excited to meet up with lheng and watch iWitness' Docufest @ SM Manila Cinema. This was just like way back in college (it's not that long ago though I really miss watching the shows. I'm having a hard time catching even just an episode due to my current erratic schedule.)

I thought that the cinema will be half-empty (talk about pre-conceived notions! haha.. it's just that, before documentaries are..uh..well, not appreciated in a country were the mass favored the movie with the latest 'it boy or girl' rather than the socially-relevant films.)

Anywei, my fave was the episode of Kara David, wherein she featured two girls with a rare illness that lets their body grow old at a very faster rate than normal (it's physically obvious as well). This story is very heart-warming, to think that personally I don't like stories or issues wherein the topic is a rare disease or something just to pinch the heart of the audience, but this one is different, I can feel the sincerity.. or maybe it was done nicely (oh well, it's their job to 'capture' the audience!)

Kudos to the scriptwriter and to Kara for being not an overly dramatic host. (may puso pero hindi OA to the point that I might want to just puke sa ka-plastikan LOL! Ü)

PS: After this docufest thingie, I then rushed somewhere up north coz I'm meeting up with a friend and we'll catch a movie.

How's your day doing?

Camera Whoring

These were some of the photos taken just right after shift. We all still have the energy to smile for the camera. (can't help it!) These were my colleagues from IBM.

Pardon my lack of descriptive words, I'm not actually in the mood to paint vivid pictures in your minds as to what was happening behind those shots. wehehe..

Feeling Blue

It's Wednesday shift once again and it means a weekend for me (oh of course not literally, it's just that in my erratic shift schedule my weekly off are thursdays and fridays).

I dont know but I'm kinda feeling blue. I wish I could somehow understand the sh*t I'm feeling inside. I'm not liking the mood shifts I'm feeling (see, I'm typing a lot of 'feelings' here!) quite often nowadays -one moment I'm thoroughly happy as can be, then next I'm gloomy as the darkest rain cloud (pardon the corni comparison- this is the best that I can think of right now!)

Okay, so probably I'm not being reasonable (so what?!) You are not being quite honest about it as well..

I guess, I can't continue anymore... Let's talk after we've sorted out our feelings and can be honest regarding how we feel about it so we can get it over and done with!

Don't want to be left in the dark...

PS: Probably, I'm vague in this entry, I just don't want to elaborate the details..i just want to let it out.

It's Sunday Night!

It's Sunday night.. not much a busy day for me! I am browsing the net for condos/apartments for rent near Commonwealth, QC [preferable 2 bedrooms- and located in a very secure subdivision or neighborhood (remember my experience in Baguio - well, probably not since I really am not posting blogs in this page yet when that incident occured- we were robbed while we were sleeping.. geez scary! dont wanna remember that incident!]

Oh well, we we're able to find one hat's within close proximity to the 'new' office building, 2 bedrooms and cheap (just 7,500!)But alas! when I tried the contact infos posted on the web - both (landline and mobile #) we're not working!! Well, too bad!

And now.. we're still looking for a flat!

*********
Just wanna share...

earlier, I received a text message from arvee saying that she loaded her phone with prepaid credits so she can text me (awww sweetness!) and also that she is missing us (sob, sob) since she cant go with us every (or at least one Friday per month) at the staple rendezvous, since she havent got a Friday off yet.
I've also asked her about her mom, good thing she told me that she's coping (sometimes she feels depressed but just dont wanna let the others know -one tough momma!)
Miss you too bebi!! Hope you can join us soon (the sooner the better!)

MWAH!

* * *

On a lighter note, Lheng and I talked over YM regarding the CineManila (with Director Quentin Tarantino of Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill among other films tucked under his belt) and our plan on July 21 to go to SM Manila and catch the free screening of i-Witness' docus (being documentary fanatics and also for the love of Howie - we loove the works of Howie Severino, especially my friend, Lheng who got her chance when he agreed for an interview with her!

Anyway, we got a date at SM Manila on July 21 after lunch. People if you wanna catch this event just drop by on the said place and date. This will be worth your time! Ü
